1. Who We Are

Ellipse Golf is operated by IC Analytics LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform at ellipsegolf.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

Usage data: We store course data, scorecards, strategy configurations, and hole data that you create within the platform. This data is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and is associated with your account.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To authenticate your account
• To enable course sharing between users you authorize
• To enable performance-data access for organizations affiliated with your account (see Section 4)
• To improve the Service, including developing and refining our analytical models
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared in the following cases:

• Course sharing: When you share a course with another user, they can view the course mapping and any scorecards you designate as shared.
• Teams and coaches: If your access to the Service is provided through a team or coaching relationship (for example, a collegiate golf program), your coaches and their staff can view your rounds, statistics, and performance data within the Service.
• Affiliated organizations and sponsors: If your access to the Service is provided through, or your account is affiliated with, an organization such as a sponsor, equipment manufacturer, academy, or governing body, that organization may be granted an organizational account through which it can view the rounds, statistics, and performance data of its affiliated players. By using the Service through such an arrangement, you consent to this access. Your affiliation is established by the agreement between you (or your parent/guardian, team, or program) and that organization.
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database hosting) and Stripe (payment processing) to operate the Service. These providers have their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Aggregated and Anonymized Data

We may create aggregated or anonymized data sets from usage of the Service — data that does not identify any individual user. We may use and share aggregated or anonymized data for any purpose, including improving and validating our analytical models, research, benchmarking, industry analysis, and marketing of the Service.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and account access is granted on an individual approval basis. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If access is ever provided to a user under 13 (for example, through a junior golf program), it will only be with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without such consent, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard authentication and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and course data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information and associated data within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

10. Cookies

We use localStorage (browser-based storage) to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
